IMPORTANT!! It is important to bring all of your tax documents with you. These documents are especially important:
o Govt-issued Photo ID(s) for taxpayer & spouse
o Social Security Card(s) for everyone on tax return
o Tax Documents for the current tax year (2022)
o Prior Year Tax Return (2021)
o Checkbook for refund to be direct deposited
o For a joint return, either BOTH TAXPAYERS must be present or the client must have a power of attorney for the one not present
We are able to do returns for earlier years (2019, 2020 & 2021) if you have complete information for those years. We ask you to schedule a separate appointment for each year that you need a return prepared.
*PLEASE NOTE: We are able to do the majority of returns for taxpayers with wage income, retirement income, interest and some investment income. Please be aware that a small percentage of more complicated returns are considered to be "out of scope" for our program. Please make an appointment and we will be able to determine if your return is in scope or not. HERE is a link to a Tax-Aide poster that describes in detail which returns are "In-Scope", meaning that we CAN do them. Unfortunately, we CANNOT do returns for sole proprietors or active duty military personnel.
